Our approach to web projects is fluid and pragmatic. We recognise that every project and client has different, often evolving, needs and expectations.
Talking Pixels believe that consideration of usability is central to building a successful website, particularly in web applications (e.g. e-commerce, social networking and content manage systems) where complex interactions are an intrinsic part of the user experience. We are highly aware of usability issues in interactive systems and are happy designing sites and applications from scratch or working with graphic/brand designers.
Many websites take a 'high-interactivity' route, at the expense of usability. This often leads to frustrated users and can create a negative association with the site and even a whole brand. We believe that the websites which users associate with a positive experience are invariably the simplest ones to use. For this reason, we encourage a balanced approach where creative ideas are always seen in the context of a 'usable system'.
We recognise the value of having consistency across various mediums, to reinforce, strengthen and legitimise a brand.
If you already work with a graphic or brand designer/design company typically would welcome the opportunity to work alongside them.
